I told you that story so I could tell you this one…

So, a LONG time ago, my Gram got herself ( or someone bought for her) a copy of “The Pill Book.” This was the WORST idea ever. She’s a complete worry wart and would drive us insane with her constant questions about what we were on, and how we’d die from those pills/medications. I know my Mom didn’t buy it for her…
I told you that so I could tell you this…

Isaac and I spent a low key afternoon wiht my parents at their house. We had lunch and snacks. We hung out. It was a generally nice day. So, after lunch was done, I sat down in the living room, and Isaac was playing. Dad came out with his Dirt Devil Kone. he started “dustbusting” the tablecloth, and following Isaac’s trail with the stupid thing. He was GRINNING ear to ear. He even “dustbusted” Isaac, who thought it was the funniest thing. For those of you who have seen it, he was like the “anal retentive chef.”

So, I asked my mom “WHO BOUGHT THIS FOR HIM!!!” She quietly raised her hand.

I said to her…”You know, buying him one of those is like buying Gram a copy of The Pill Book.”

Everyone laughed when I said that and he put the Kone away.

Later, Isaac had oreos. I was in the bathroom at the time, but I heard the “VROOOM” of the Kone.
It was all I could do not to fall off of the potty laughing. He had “dustbusted” the tablecloth and Isaac and the floor AGAIN because of the oreos.

See? it’s like Gram and the pill book.

Mom’s response to all of this?
“It keeps him happy.”

uh huh.
I say that it encourages his Anal retentive-ness.
