Things that should be obvious

October 1, 2007 at 1:59 pm 3 comments

Today, Doug and I were going through his pre-op packet and reading the instructions. The ones that came with the “day of surgery” thing were the usual…and then we came to this one:

“The day of surgery, take a shower with soap.”

with soap? Isn’t that something that you do anyhoo when you take a shower? Use soap?

It’s really sad you have to say these things. It’s up there with dress codes that demand women wear bras. Hello Obvious!

Oh, and for everyone who’s wondering…Doug is having a bowel resection because of Chron’s disease. Surgery is at 12:20 tomorrow.

Entry filed under: hilarity.

I’m so tired. so freakin tired. a very fast update

I have learned that soap for men/boys can be optional. Shocking, I know.

Hmmm. . . me thinks I will have to buy Doug some soap as a joke. Ya know to remind him it isn’t only for the day of surgery 😉

Remember to call me if you need me I will be floating around tomorrow. Be a good wedge or else I may have to ask your mother to give the all knowing wedge a wedgie!
