The story I was DYING to tell

and that I couldn’t tell until I posted the Bumper Magnet yesterday!

So, we’re at the museum, making mastadon buttons, and there’s a family with 2 boys ahead of us. The older boy finishes making his button, and puts it on his jacket. He looks at me and says “Now I’ve got 2 buttons! Wanna see my other one?”

Little boy (couldn’t have been older than 6-ish) opens his fleece vest under his winter jacket and reveals a black button with a green peace sign and in white underneath the peace sign the numbers 1-20-09.

I about died. I looked at him and said “can you show my mom that?” Because my mom has the 1-20-09 bumper sticker on her car. He obliged, and my mom was laughing!

Well, little boy’s mom asked if we knew what that meant, and oh, sure we do! She then sighed and said “My god, 1-20-09 is too long to wait!”

I laughed and told her I couldn’t agree more!

see? you’re never too young to make a political statement!
