From Bad Latte Brown to Desert Cactus Green!

So, as most of y’all know, I started on a quest to get the 2nd bedroom in my house converted into a study/craft/retreat room in my house. I went and got some paint at Home Depot and began the painting process.

Wanna see how bad the original color was?

ooh! Ick! Bad Latte Brown! Blah, oh, puke!

So, I get the room masked off and begin painting. I enlisted Doug to do the high parts of the room…and I did the radiator as well. The last people here painted the radiator the same shade of pukey brown as the room. It could NOT be left alone. No, no, no.

So, having a 4 year old doesn’t help matters…especially when they WANT to help.
I handed the Monkey a roller and showed him what to do. He did a few passes on the wall, before him and his highly distractable self got bored…yelled “I’m DONE!” and ran out of the room, creating this:
Yeah, those were my favorite flip flops, now covered in green paint, along with my toes.

yeah, it was really nice scrubbing my poor feet. Go Monkey.

Then, a few minutes later, he wanders back in and looks around and says “Ooh! It’s GREEN!”

I\'ve never seen a child this amused by green paint...

So, it took us 2, almost 3 days, because I redid the trim as well…but I now have a GREEN room with “Baby Roo” trim instead of a bad latte brown one!

My new color scheme...yay!

Very nice color. Did you use the regular paint for the radiators? We had been told not to do that so I was just curious.
